Easy Watercolor Background feat. Gerda Steiner Designs

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing this card with you featuring the Happy Mail stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs. It is a stamp set I received as part of my prize a while back. Unfortunately it seems this set is not available anymore, you got it for free a while back with orders at their shop. But they have a lot of these cute stamp sets which are worth checking out.

For this card I created an easy watercolor background with my Mijello Mission Gold watercolor set. Check out the video to see how anyone, even without watercoloring skills, can do his. So in case you would like to try out this idea as well, make sure to check out the video on my channel.

Here are some close up photos of the card. The envelopes are stamped with white pearl embossing powder which gives them a nice shine in the right light.

I hope you liked this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Card | Creative Pop-Up Box

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you a very creative take on the Mini Pop-Up Box die from Lawn Fawn. It does not look much like a box anymore, does it? When I saw the Keep on Swimming stamp set, this idea came to mind, and I just had to figure out how to do it.

For the ones interested, I created a video on the card making process. So in case you would like to try out this idea as well, make sure to check out the video on my channel. I have other video’s available too using the same die. And if you like my video’s, don’t forget to subscribe.

The main scene is on the inside of the card, with the cute cat staring at the fish in the bowl. I just love the sentiment “I can’t take my eyse off of you”, it cracks me up.

I also thought about the front of the card. This is gives the recipient an idea of what is inside the card, plus it holds the card shut, which is convenient when placed in an envelope.

I hope you liked this card and it gave you inspiration to use the mini pop-up box in multiple ways. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Card | Llama Tell You …

Hi everyone! The card of today really puts the Llama from Lawn Fawn in the spotlight! It is a small stamp set, but I think the Llama is really cute and versatile. Today these Llama’s are going on a journey, are you joining them?

The Llama’s are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink which is a copic friendly ink. I colored everything with my Copic Sketch markers and die cut them with the coordinating die. I die cut some grass from white cardstock and ink blended Distress Oxide Twisted Citron on it to give the grass a vibrant look.

As for the trees, these are from the Center Picture Window Add On die, and I die cut them from the Spring Fling pack and brown cardstock. The flowers are actually from the Gallery Frame die from Hello Bluebird. These give a nice finishing touch to the grass area. I die cut the flowers from the Spiffy Speckles and Spring Fling paper. For the sky I also used the Spiffy Speckles paper.

Then I paper pieced everything together, and popped up the Llama’s with foam squares. To frame the card, I used the Wonky Rectangles die from MFT.

And that finishes the card! I hope you like it and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Card | A Day at the Beach

Hi everyone! Let’s go to the beach with the Beach Chickies! This card shows a typical day at the beach: During the day you enjoy the sun and take a dive, and in the evening you enjoy the last rays of sunshine with a cocktail.

To make the card, I first stamped and colored the images from Mama Elephant with my Copic Sketch markers. To create the backgrounds I blended several Distress Ink colors. For the blue sky I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. For the sunset sky I used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Bricked. To create the sand I blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.

For the polaroid frame I used the Die-Namic from MFT called Polaroid Shaker Frame. To make the card look playful, I adhered the images also outside the polaroid frames. The yellow-ish background is from the Spiffy Speckles paper from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Card |Colorful and Simple Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a great day. For the current Lawnfanatics challenge I decided to keep the design simple and really focus on the butterflies from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set.

First I stamped the butterflies with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with my copic markers. For the backgrounds I used pattern paper from the Spring Fling and Spiffy Speckles pack from Lawn Fawn.

To add more interest to the card, I put Wink of Stella over the butterflies and coated them in Glossy Accents. These two products together give the butterflies a nice shimmer, gloss, and dimension.

I hope you like this card and it gave you some inspiration.
