A Merry Meowy Christmas!

Hi everyone! When I saw the cute stack of snow cats I just had to have these sets! The one on the left is from the limited Stamptember 2019 edition, and the one on the right is from the Snow Friends stamp set from Mama Elephant which is still available!

First I started with the background as that had to dry . First I ink blended Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass over the Geo Snowflake stencil from SugarPea Designs which is an absolute favorite of mine! Then to make it really sparkling, I put Nuvo Glimmer paste moonstone over top. The result was this beautiful icy looking background.

While the background was drying, I stamped all the images from the Mama Elephant Snow Friends on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them with my copic markers:

  • Scarfs: BG13, BG15, BG18, BG72, BG75, BG78
  • Tabby cats: YR20, YR21, YR24
  • Cool grey cats: C0, C1, C3
  • Warm grey cats: W0, W2, W4

To create the snowbank, I die cut white cardstock with the Stiched Hillside die and adhered it to the background with foam tape. To frame the card, I used Mermaid carstock from which I also die cut a little heart to go with the sentiment. The sentiment itself I stamped with Tumbled Glass and Versamark ink since I wanted to heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. This gives a beautiful shine to the sentiment and adds a lot to the frosty scene. For some final touches, I added Stickles Stardust to the scarfs and little heart, and topped it of with Glossy Accents.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

A Monster Birthday with a Freebie from Create A Smile Stamps

Hi everyone! Did you know Create A Smile stamps has these awesome freebies? In the card of today I wanted to feature the quirky monster freebie.

First I downloaded the freebies and adjusted it to the size I wanted and printed them out. Then I colored the monster with my copic markers:

  • Body: BV00, BV02, BV04, B00, BG02, BG05
  • Hair: V01, V02, V09
  • Feet: C00, C01, C03, C05

After the coloring, I fussy cut the images. For the background I stamped the Abstract Triangles with Distress Oxide Ink Wilted Violet and Mermaid Lagoon. I found these colors matched perfectly with the copic markers I chose. For the blue strip on the right, I ink blended Mermaid Lagoon on white cardstock.

As I wanted to ground the monster, I also die cut a hill with the Stitched Hillside border die out of white cardstock. The hill I adhered to the background with scor tape. For the monster and speach bubble I wanted to have more dimension so I adhered them with foam squares.

As a finishing touch, I added a couple of gems to the background. And that finishes of my card! I hope you like it and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!

MFT Shaker Birthday Card

Hi everyone! The current MFT Birthday Project challenge inspired me to create this Birthday card. I had this fun and colorful sequins in my stash which was a perfect match for a unicorn theme.

First I stamped the images from the Magical Unicorns set on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them with my copic markers.

  • Blue: B93, B95, B97
  • Pink: RV000, RV52, RV55
  • Purple: BV00, BV02
  • Yellow: Y18, Y13, Y11

After coloring, I ran the images through my die cutting machine with the coordinating dies. I also die cut a cloud border out of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac. For the background I adhered pattern paper from the Party Pattern paper pack to the card base. To dull it down a bit in the area of the main scene, I adhered vellum on top. For the shaker area, I popped up the frame with the acetate with craft foam. In the shaker area, I put all elements except the unicorn. After assembling the shaker area with the images and sequins, I finally adhered the unicorn. For some final touches, I put Wink of Stella on the wings and hair, and Stickles on the horn.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

The Best Is Yeti To Come – Scalloped Box Card

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my second Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up from Lawn Fawn. This time I’m featuring the Yeti Or Not stamp set. What I love about this card is the non-traditional look of it. My previous card was with traditional red colors. If interested, here you can find all the cards I made with the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up die.

Sale alert! At Scrapbook.com there is currently the 12 days of Christmas Sale, with 20-50% discount on Lawn Fawn!

If interested, I have made a video on my YouTube channel where I’m showing how to create this Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up. Additionally I have a good tip on how to align a straight sentiment on a wavy banner!

First I stamped all the images on Perfect Colouring paper with Mememto Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I colored them with my copic markers:

  • Trees: YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, E55, E57
  • Scarf, hat, icecream snowboard: BG10, BG11, BG72, BG75, BG78
  • Yeti’s: C0, C1, C3, BG10

After all the images were colored, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped a bunch of snowflakes from the Yeti or Not stamp set on vellum and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. The base of the Scalloped Box I die cut out of Speckled Eggshell cardstock. For all the flaps, I die cut Mermaid cardstock, and pattern paper from the Snow Day Remix paper pack.

For the inserts I wanted to have the look of snow banks. Therefore, I choose to use Sugar Crystal cardstock as this is a beautiful glitter cardstock which really adds to the effect of snow. . Now all my elements were ready and it was assembly time. For that process, it is easiest to watch the video on my channel.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Hoppy Holidays – Scalloped Box Card

Hi everyone! Recently I bought the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up from Lawn Fawn and I couldn’t be happier! It is so much fun to work with this die. For my first card I decided to go with a Christmas theme with the Stamptember Snow Bunnies.

First I stamped all the images on Perfect Colouring paper with Mememto Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I colored them with my copic markers:

  • Trees: YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, E55, E57
  • Scarfs, hat, presents: R24, R29, R59, Y13, Y18, YR24, YR04, Y18
  • Bunnies: E50, E51, E53, E55, R20, R22

After all the images were colored, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped a bunch of snowflakes from the Yeti or Not stamp set on vellum and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. The base of the Scalloped Box I die cut out of white cardstock. For all the flaps, I die cut red cardstock, and pattern paper from the Snow Day Remix paper pack. For the sky, I ink blended Distress Oxide ink Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon and splattered Liquid Stardust on top.

For the inserts I wanted to have the look of snow banks. Therefore I die cut the inserts from Sugar Crystal cardstock. Now all my elements were ready and it was assembly time. If you are interested in how to assemble the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up, I’m planning to create a video on this. I am a bit behind with my videos as my voice is still recovering from a bad cold. Cards · Hello Bluebird

A Fairy Merry Christmas with Hello Bluebird

Hi everyone! Today I challenged myself to create a Christmas themed card with the Fairy Garden stamp from Hello Bluebird. I love the fairies in this set and thought they would be perfect for a magical fairy themed Christmas card.

I have also made a video on my youtube channel on the card making process of this card. Subscribe to my channel if you don’t want to miss a thing.

First I stamped the images from the Fairy Garden and Garden Friends stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my copic markers:

  • Fairy: E00, E13, R22, B00, BG02, BG04, BG10, E31, E35, E37, E39, E59
  • Butterfly: BG10, BG11, E31, E35
  • Snowdrops: YG01, YG11, YG13, YG17, YG67, C3, C1, C0, BG10

After the coloring, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies for the Garden Friends and Fairy Garden set.

For the background I stamped snowflakes from the Yeti or Not stamp set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I ink blended Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass on the background. The heat embossed snowflakes resist the Oxide ink and you can just rub it off. To frame the card a bit, I also ink blended Mermaid Lagoon on the edges.

I die cut a circle out of white vellum and used the Stitched Hillside border to create the snow bank out of Tonic Sugar Crystal cardstock. For the sentiment, I die cut a wavy banner out of vellum and heat embossed the sentiment on top. I adhered the images on the vellum background with foam tape to give it dimension. I did the same for the sentiment banner but I used silicone foam tape for it as it does not show that much. As a finishing touch, I put Wink of Stella on the wings of the fairy and butterfly, and added some on the snowdrops as well.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Sunny Studio Stamps – Cruising Critters

Hi Everyone! I have a confession to make: Somehow, always when I try to make a card more masculine, it still ends up cute and girly. Do you recognize that also with yourself? However, this time, I think I’ve managed to keep it masculine! In the card of today I’m featuring the Cruising Critters from Sunny Studio Stamps. I love how the critters are piled up in the car! As this card is going to a guy who has an olive green car, I also wanted to color this car in those colors.

First I stamped the image on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with copic markers:

  • Car: YG93, YG95, YG97, YG01, C0, C1, C3, C5, W0, W2
  • Bird: Y18, Y13, Y11, YR04
  • Cat and racoon: C0, C1, C3, C5
  • Dogs, hegdehog, and bear: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
  • Bunny: W0, W2

For the sky I ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron on white cardstock. In the top left I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. To create the bushes in the scene, I die cut Fall Fling paper from Lawn Fawn with the Puffy Cloud Borders. For the road, I used a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed the white dash lines on them. These are also part of the Cruising Critters set. I adhered the car with the critters on top of the scene with foam tape to give it dimension.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
