Interactive Birthday Pull Tab Card – Sunny Studio

Hi everyone! As a cat mom, the Birthday Cat must be one of my new favorite sets! I thought it would be super fun and cute to create an interactive card these cuties.

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Interactive”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the images from Birthday Cat on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with the following Copic markers:

  • R29, R24, R22, R20
  • E30, W0, W2, W4
  • YR12, YR15, Y21

After coloring I fussy cut the images with Cutterbee scissors. Do know there are also coordinating dies available.

On the cardbase I adhered pattern paper from the Fruit Salad paper pack. From the same paper pack, I die cut the curtains behind the window. The window itself I die cut from Sunflower cardstock with the Slim Window Dressing die from Mama Elephant.

The background panel, acting as the wall and floor, I splattered with Dried Marigold Distress Oxide. The bottom of the panel I masked off and ink blended with Antique Linen.

To create the interactive part, I used the Let’s Toast Pull Tab from Lawn Fawn. I think it is super cute how the cat pops up in the window. Behind the window I adhered Apricot cardstock as the pattern paper would be too busy. I also thought it would be fun if the cat would say ‘meow’, so I used a speech bubble from Let’s Chat.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
