Friendly Flowers – My Favorite Things

Hi everyone! Stencils can create such pretty backgrounds! To make the Friendly Flowers background stand out more, I added a bunch of embellishments to the center of the flowers. This really elevates it don’t you think?

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Stencils”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

On a white cardstock panel I used the Friendly Flowers stencil with the following Distress Oxide inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Brushed Corduroy.

As a backdrop for the stencilled panel, I wanted a blue frame. This I created with the Stitched Eyelet Rectangle die and Tide Pool cardstock. Out of the same colored cardstock, I also die cut the shadow part of the word die. And the ‘hello’ itself out of white cardstock.

As embellishment, I added various colored drops to the centers of the flowers. This really elevates the card and makes the background stand out more. The drops from Pinkfresh Studio I used are: Clear Drops Blush, Glitter Drops Lagoon and Sunshine Jewels.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
