Hi everyone! Making cards with rainbows always makes me so happy! For this card I matched the colors of the rainbow with the colors of the flowers.
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Rainbow”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the flowers from the Go For It stamp set on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers:
- Yellow: Y18, Y13, Y11, Y000
- Orange: YR21, YR20, YR000
- Pink: RV13, RV11, R000
- Purple: BV02, BV00, BV0000
- Leaves: BG53, B00, B000, BG0000
With a white gel pen I added dots to the flowers to give them a more whimsical look. After coloring, I die cut the flowers with coordinating dies. To give the flowers dimension, I also die cut the flowers two more times out of white cardstock and stacked it behind the colored image.

On the background I wanted to create a rainbow in colors that matched with the flowers. To achieve this, I used a Hillside stencil, and kept shifting it down. The Distress Oxide colors I used are: Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade.
In the bottom left I stamped the sentiment, and next to it I adhered the flowers. As the flowers have dimension, I had to stamp the sentiment first. Around the flowers I added a few glitter drops in the colors Blush and Blossom.
Finally, I ink blended Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina on the cardbase, as this matted the scene nicely and matched well with the colors of the leaves.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
