Teal Encouragement Card – Pinkfresh Studio

Hi everyone! Apparently I was feeling blue when making this card šŸ˜‰ It features the fun A2 slider and lots of other goodies from Pinkfresh Studio.

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is ā€œBig Sentimentsā€. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the flowers from Go For It on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them with Copic markers:

  • Flowers: BG57, BG53, G00
  • Leaves: BG75, BG72, BG0000

With a white gel pen I also added dots to make the flowers look more whimsical. After coloring, I die cut the flowers with coordinating dies. If you are not into coloring, know there are also layering stencils available for these flowers.

To nicely frame the flowers, I die cut the Ornate Circle out of Mermaid cardstock. The same cardstock I used for the cardbase. I wanted to turn this card into an interactive card, so I die cut a slider mechanism out of white cardstock. When adhering elements to the slider, you need to make sure to not adhere anything on the moving and folding parts.

At the bottom of the slider mechanism, I adhered the Ornate Circle, the Ephemera sentiment and the flowers. I was left with a white strip, which I decorated with Aqua Glitter Drops. On the Ornate Circle I added some Champagne Glitter Drops to bring in more gold elements. On the cardbase I heat embossed a sub sentiment, which will show when you use the slider mechanism.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
