Hi everyone! It can be quite a lot of fun to play around with pattern paper and get interesting looks. This Detailed Leaf from Pinkfresh Studio I stamped on paper with an alcohol ink background look. It may seem like I put a lot of effort into this leaf, but it was super quick and easy!
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Pastel”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!
First I stamped the Detailed Leaf with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on pattern paper with an alcohol ink background look. This gives a very interesting look to the leaf with zero effort! This stamp set also has coordinating stencil, which in this case I did not use for the leaf itself, but to create a pattern on the background. The color I used for ink blending is Distress Oxide Bundled Sage. As I was planning to add a black sentiment on the card, I also wanted to have some black on the background itself. Therefore I added some splatters with Distress Ink Black Soot.
After the background was done, I die cut it with the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die and adhered it on Noble Fir cardstock. On top I adhered the leaf with foam tape. The die cut sentiment and its shadow are from the Hello die set from Pinkfresh Studio. The sub sentiment is from the Itty Bitty line from MFT.
As a finishing touch, I added a few sequins from the Rainbow sequin set.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
