Friendship Card with Faux Alcohol Ink Background – Pinkfresh Studio

Hi everyone! Do you like the look of alcohol ink backgrounds? So do I! For this card I actually used a paper pack which has a lot of gorgeous alcohol ink backgrounds. I felt these went very well with the beautiful detailed leaf from Pinkfresh Studio.

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Pastel”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the Detailed Leaf from Pinkfresh Studio on pearlescent vellum with VersaMark ink and heat set the white embossing powder. It is hard to capture on camera, but the pearlescent vellum has a gorgeous shine! For the background of the card, I used pattern paper with an alcohol ink look. The paper pack truly has a lot of gorgeous designs!

As there is gold in the pattern paper, I also wanted to add gold elements to the card. So from Metallic Gold cardstock I die cut the Mini Slimline Frame and the friend sentiment. The sub sentiment is gold heat embossed. In the end there is quite a lot of gold in the card, but I do think it looks very pretty against the purple/pink background and the shine of the vellum. As a finishing touch, I added sequins from the Birthday Candles sequins mix.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
