Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I’m counting down to spring! I always love creating cards with spring colors, and the pastel challenge of Cloud9 Crafts fits right in that ally. The cute images I’m featuring today are the Blowing Balloons from Clearly Besotted.
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Pastel”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

The stamp set I’m featuring today is the Blowing Balloons from Clearly Besotted. I stamped the images on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with Copic markers:
- Green: G24, G21, G20
- Yellow: Y26, Y21, Y11
- Pink: R83, R81, V000
- Violet: BV02, BV00, BV0000
- Blue: B12, B00, B000
- Teal: BG32, BG11, BG10
- Critters: E43, E42, E41, E40
After coloring, I fussy cut the images with Cutter Bee scissors.

For the bottom of the card, I die cut cardstocks strips from Ballet Slippers, Sticky Note and Mermaid cardstock. The strips I adhered with liquid glue on the cardbase. To add more interest to the strips, I stamped the Dainty Plaid on top with Yeti ink. The colors together with the plaid design really reminds me of spring.
Above the cardstock strips, I did some very light ink blending with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, and added splatters with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy. After the splatters had dried, I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The flowers themselves I adhered flat on the cardbase with liquid glue, and the two critters I popped up with foam squares to make them stand out more.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
