Dreamy Florals Birthday Card – Pinkfresh Studio

Hi everyone! Inspired by the colors and theme of the Pinkfresh Studio challenge I created this card. I went for a subtle tone on tone plaid background which also helped in making the flowers and sentiment pop from the card.

First I stamped the Dreamy Florals on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The flowers also have coordinating layering stencils, but I colored them with Copic markers:

  • Greens: BG72, G21, G20
  • Orange: E04, YR02, YR01, YR000
  • Yellow: Y18, Y13, Y11
  • Pink: R83, RV11

After coloring I die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies. For the sentiment I used the Brushed Sentiments hot foil plates with Champagne foil on Hammermill cardstock.

In an older card, I used Sage Leaf cardstock for the background, and I liked it so much I wanted to try it again. This time I stamped the Dainty Plaid with Yeti ink and used one of the layering stencils with Distress Oxide Evergreen Bough for some light ink blending. The result was a soft and subtle plaid background which I liked a lot.

As a finishing touch, I added Champagne Glitter Drops.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!

This card was inspired by the February 2023 Pinkfresh Studio challenge.
