Daisy Themed Shaped Shaker Card – Clearly Besotted

Hi everyone! This new Oops A Daisy stamp set from Clearly Besotted got me really excited to pull out all my daisy themed supplies! It was a lot of fun to put this shaped shaker card together, which is also an inspiration for the current Cloud9 Crafts challenge.

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Shaker Cards”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

The stamp set I’m featuring today is the Oops A Daisy from Clearly Besotted. I stamped the images on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored them with Copic markers:

  • Flowers: R32, R30, R000, G20, YG61, YG63
  • Ducks: E99, YR24, Y26, Y21, Y000, YR15

After coloring, I fussy cut the images with Cutter Bee scissors. In the center of the flowers, I added Nuvo Drops Gloss White for a dimensional effect.

The background panel of the shaker card I die cut with the Floral Backdrop Coverplate, which matches beautifully with the daisy theme. This sky portion of the shaker I gave color by ink blending Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass on top. The grass section I ink blended with Bundled Sage and Cracked Pistachio. It can be tricky to stamp anything on top of Distress Oxide, but when using VersaFine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment you get perfect results!

The window part of the shaker is die cut with the Stacked Circles die from Flower Market paper. As you can see, the daisy theme comes back in multiple elements in the card. Inside the shaker, I added Birthday Candles and Iridescent Moonshine sequins.

On top of the shaker window I adhered the flowers with liquid glue, and the ducks I popped up with foam tape to give them dimension.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
