Card Idea for Pattern Paper Scraps

Hi everyone! Do you also have a lot of scrap pieces of paper in your stash? I really wanted to use up my scraps from Christmas, and turn them into a fun and simple card. When you create a background like this, the card also doesn’t need much else, don’t you think?

First I gathered all pattern paper scraps I had, and chose the ones that would go well together. With my guillotine trimmer, I cut strips in various sizes. Then on a piece of basic white paper I added glue and started to piece everything together. To give the edges an interesting look, I die cut the panel with the Nesting Deckle die.

For the sentiment, I used the Joy hot foil plate with Skybright foil. With the Solid Hot Foil Plate I also created another Joy sentiment with the leftover foil. I really love this solid plate, it helps you get the most out of your products!

The sub sentiment I stamped with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide, and the sentiment itself is from Iconic Ornament. I have used that stamp set a lot for its sentiments.

As I had a lot of pattern paper scraps left, I also created another card with the same design.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
