Hi everyone! The Best Friend Faces from MFT are so super cute! I thought they would be perfect for a cat lover birthday card. As you can see, I did not stick to any real cat colors which I think adds a lot of fun to the card.

First I chose the different colors of cardstock I wanted to work with for the cats: Cotton Candy, Sno Cone and Grapesicle. From these I die cut stitched squares, and also die cut the cats in the center of those squares. The Best Friend Faces also contain additional dies for details such as the cheeks. Those I die cut out of Ripe Raspberry cardstock. The eyes and nose I die cut out of black cardstock, and the ears I die cut out of Ballet Slippers cardstock. Once you start adhering those elements, you can really see the cats come together, which is fun to see.

To make the cats come more to life, I added highlights with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment I did not want to add another element to the card, so I thought it would be fun to add the sentiment below the cats. From Princess Pink cardstock I partially die cut squares, on top of which I stamped sentiments from the Itty Bitty Birthday set.
The background panel is Ripe Raspberry cardstock, just like the cheeks. I did want to add a bit of interest to it, so I ink blended bricks on top with Yeti ink. The cats I adhered on the background with foam tape to make them stand out. And that was that!
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
