A Dino-Mite Thank You Card – Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! What better way to say thank you than with a handmade box card?! I always find creating masculine cards tricky, but I think I managed to do so with this card. What do you think?

First I stamped the images from Little Dino Agenda and Me and My Dinosaur on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers:

  • Purples: BV08, BV04, BV02, BV00, BV0000
  • Teals: BG78, BG57, BG53, B000
  • Pinks: RV66, RV55, RV52
  • Greens: BG96, BG93, YG95, YG91
  • Browns: E49, E77, E71
  • Greys: C5, C3, C1, C0

With a white gel pen I added some dots to the dinosaurs for a whimsical effect.

From white cardstock I die cut all the elements for the box card. The decorative elements on the sides and the back panel, I ink blended with Distress Oxide Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, and Dusty Concord. On top of these elements I splattered white gold paint for a starry effect.

The inserts of the box card I ink blended with Evergreen Bough and a touch of Vintage Photo. After assembling the box card, I adhered the images with liquid glue. As a finishing touch, I added white stars in a couple of places.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
