Christmas Joy with Snowdrop Corners – Clearly Besotted

Hi everyone! For this Christmas card I went for soft, non-traditional colors. It was a joy (pun intended 😉 ) to color the Snowdrop Corners from Clearly Besotted. To make the card a bit festive, I added gold elements, which also make the card pop.

Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Sweet Treats”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

The stamp set I’m featuring today is the Snowdrop Corners from Clearly Besotted. I stamped one of the images on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it with Copic markers:

  • Leaves: BG96, YG63, YG61
  • Poinsettia: RV95, RV93, RV91
  • Snowdrop: BG72, BG0000
  • Holly: BV02, BV00, BV0000

After coloring, I fussy cut the images with Cutter Bee scissors.

The background panel I ink blended at the borders with Distress Oxide Evergreen Bough, and in the center with Milled Lavender. These colors match the colors of the image nicely. In the center I adhered the sentiment and sub sentiment. The Joy was foiled with satin gold foil, and the sub sentiment is from the Iconic Ornaments set, which I heat embossed in gold. As a final finishing touch, I adhered gold pearls in the center of the flowers to make them pop.

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
