Hi everyone! It is nice to create cards which can be used for multiple occasions. This one you can give for a birthday, but also any other occasion to celebrate. For this card I went for softer colors and the gorgeous products from Pinkfresh Studio.
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Glitter”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I foiled the Brighter Days flowers with Champagne foil and used the layering stencils to add color. The Distress Oxides I used: Peacock Feathers, Speckled Egg, Dusty Concord, Mustard Seed, and Pumice Stone. By first applying a layer of ink blending with Pumice Stone, I was able to create a more muted and softer look for the others colors.

On the panel for the background I white heat embossed the Dainty Plaid background stamp. Then I applied light ink blending with Distress Oxide Milled Lavender. To frame this background, I added a Mini Slimline frame on top with foam tape.

The inside of the frame I decorated with the flowers and leaves from Brighter Days. In the center I adhered a pre-foiled sentiment from the Ephemera pack. As you can see from the photos, I popped up all the elements with foam squares to give them dimension. As a final touch, I added Glacier jewels.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
