Hi everyone! I find shaped cards can be a special and fun deviation from standard sized cards. The gorgeous Ornate Circle from Pinkfresh Studio is a perfect example to this. From the monochromatic background in this card, I actually was able to create two cards! The other one I’ll share next week.
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is “Monochromatic”. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

On my YouTube channel I have a process video available in which I show you how to create this card. If you enjoy watching my videos, make sure to like, subscribe, and leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you enjoyed most!
The background featured in this card I created with the Geo Arch hot foil plate and layering stencils. As I wanted to stick to monochromatic colors, I picked different teals to work with. To not make the colors too overwhelming, I made sure to leave enough white in the card.

If you don’t have a hot foil machine yet, there are also other ways to add hot foil to your card (Watch 5 Ways to Foil). The sentiment I used here is from a Foiled Sentiments pack, with 39 sentiments to chose from! I was really surprised by the amount of sentiments, and the great variety within them.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
