Save Time with 2 for 1 Cards | Part 1 – Pinkfresh Studio

Hi everyone! As you may have noticed, I’m loving the versatility of the Simply Hexagons die! This time I kept it quite simply by foiling the Art Deco hot foil plate on top and using a couple of the hexagons to decorate the background. The beauty of these dies is you can get 2 cards out of 1 background. The other card I created with this background I’ll share soon! If you would also like to see the other cards I created with the Simply Hexagons die, you can find them here.

First I foiled the Art Deco hot foil plate with Blush foil on white cardstock. After that, I die cut it with the Simply Hexagons die. As my Gemini Foilpress was already heated up, I also foiled the Folk Garden and Perfect Sentiments with the same Blush foil. I think using this foil is a nice variation on the gold which is often used.

For coloring the Folk Garden flowers, I used the layering stencils and the following Distress Oxide inks: Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Picked Raspberry. As you may know, I do love coloring, but I’m also really liking how fast you can create a card by using the layering stencils.

The hexagons and flowers I adhered on a piece of white cardstock with foam tape. To frame it, I die cut Ripe Raspberry cardstock with the Folk Edge Rectangles die. It is amazing how a simple can frame can really bring out the colors in a card and make it pop!

I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
