Hi everyone! From the new release of Clearly Besotted I fell in love with the cute Sugar Rush Plushies. As the theme of the stamp set is candy, I also wanted to make the card nice and sweet. And I don’t know about you, but I think I succeeded 😉
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is Stencils. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the Sugar Rush Plushies on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After stamping, I colored the critters with my Copic markers:
- Critters: E43, E42, E41, E50, R30, R20
- Pinks: R20, R30, R000
- Blues: BG32, BG11, BG0000
- Purples: BV02, BV00, V000
On the cheeks of the critters, I added small white dots with a gel pen, and fussy cut them with Cutter Bee scissors.

The background itself I also wanted to remind of candy. To do this, I created candy like stripes with the Broad Strokes stencil and Distress Oxides. But before I went ahead with that, I first did some foiling with Opal foil and the Twinkle Lights hot foil plate. The foil will resist the ink you put on top. After foiling, I did the ink blending with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, and Shaded Lilac.

The sentiment I stamped with a combination of Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy and Shaded Lilac. Behind the sentiment strip, I adhered one of the critters, and then used foam squares to adhere it on the background. The other two critters I also adhered with foam squares. The complete scene I popped up with foam tape from the white cardbase, leaving a nice border around it.
As a finishing touch, I added sparkle to the candy with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay, and Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
