Hi everyone! Do you ever buy pattern paper, and then you don’t know what to do with it? I have a number of pattern paper pads in my drawer, and I’d love to use them more! So in this card, I incorporated the paper in a number of elements. I think it looks really pretty, and also gives the card character. In a previous card, I used the paper piecing technique with pattern paper. This is also a lot of fun to do, so if you haven’t seen that post and video yet, I encourage you to check it out!
Before I’m diving into the cardmaking process, I want to mention we have a challenge running over at Cloud9 Crafts. The theme of this month is Stencils. Head over to Instagram to see how you can participate and be eligible to win a prize!

First I stamped the Untouchable Plushies on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After stamping, I colored the critters with my Copic markers:
- Hedgehog: E59, E57, E55, E53, E51, E50, R30, R20
- Cacti: YG17, YG03, G20
- Purple: V15, V12, V000
- Pink: R22, R20, R30
On the cheeks of the critters, I added small white dots with a gel pen.

For the background, I used Vanilla Malt cardstock on which I added foiling with the Skinny Stripe hot foil plate and Opal foil. This gives it a subtle, tone on tone, letter look which matches well with the theme of the card. To create a frame, I used the Postage Frame die with Flower Market pattern paper. That same pattern paper pack I used to create the envelopes. Inside the envelopes I tucked little messages, which are from the Mini Everyday Messages.

The envelopes and critters, I adhered with foam squares on the card. As a final finishing touch, I added Tiny Diamonds on the background in colors matching the pattern paper.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
