Hi everyone! For the card of today I thought I would change things up a bit. In most cases when you do foiling, you foil with gold or prism foil. And for the ink blending you would usually go for white cardstock. For this card though, I did neither of those things and I’m very happy with the result! I hope with this card I can inspire you to also try something different.

First I foiled the Folk Garden onto Ballet Slippers cardstock with Skybright foil. As I only wanted to use and ink blend the center, I die cut the center panel with the Folk Edge Rectangles die. To give color to the foiled Folk Garden, I used the very handy coordinating stencils and Distress Oxides. For the leaves I used Salvaged Patina and Broken China. For the flowers I used Mustard Seed and a hint of Worn Lipstick.

The panel on the cardbase I debossed with the Folk Garden hot foil plate, but did not use any foil. This way you get a nice impression, and the white cardstock looks less bland. This panel I also die cut with the Folk Edge Rectangle die. I love how you can see the pink paper underneath.

For the sentiment I used the Perfect Sentiments hot foil plate, with Prism foil. To give the card a playful look, I let the sentiment slightly hang over the center panel. This panel I popped up with foam tape from the white background to give it some dimension. To finish off the card, I added Glacier Jewels to break up the background, and also add playfulness.
I hope you like this card, and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
With this card I’m participating in the February 2022 challenge of Pinkfresh Studio.
