One Background – Two Cards

Hi everyone! Little over a week ago I shared a card with rainbow leaves. Guess what? This is the background I die cut the leaves from. So it really was a 2 for 1 background. I felt it was so beautiful, I didn’t want to let it go to waste. The beautiful leaves featured in the cards are the In-Focus Florals from My Favorite Things.

If you want to know, how I created the background, you can watch the process video of the other card over on my YouTube channel. Let me know in the comments which card you like the most, I’m curious to know! If you like watching my videos, remember to like and subscribe. Thanks!

I’ll be honest, it did take some time to create this card because all of the paper piecing. But it was so worth it! I kept all the background pieces from the previous card. All I had to do now, was die cut the leaves from white cardstock, and do the inlay technique.

For the sentiment, I die cut Smile out of white cardstock with the Make Me Smile die from Hello Bluebird. The text underneath I die cut with the Captions Alphabet die-namics from My Favorite Things. To make them stand out from the background, I adhered them on top of vellum, which I popped up with 3M Scotch foam tape.

As a final embellishment, I added Soft Snowball Mix pearls from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
