Magnolia Blossoms – My Favorite Things

Hi everyone! I thought it was time again to pull out my Polychromos pencils to color in this beautiful Magnolia Blossoms stamp from My Favorite Things. I am quite pleased with the end result, and to me it feels like a picture in a frame. I would almost hang it on my wall!

On Neenah Desert Storm paper I stamped the flowers with Memento Desert Sand ink for a no-line look. Then I colored the flowers with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils:

  • Stems: 280, 174, 179
  • Leaves: 174, 170, 185
  • Flower petals: 132, 131, 193, 263
  • Flower centers: 185, 179, 280, 104
  • Shadows: 177, 175

In between the flowers there was a nice spot for the sentiment, which I stamped with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo.

To frame the card, I matted it with Speckled Eggshell and Ground Coffee cardstock from Lawn Fawn. This really gives it a picture in a frame look.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!

With this card I’m participating in the MFT Superstar challenge, category Coloring Virtuoso.
