Drink Up The Sunshine – MFT

Hi everyone! Inspired by the current MFT Sketch Challenge I created this clean and simple summer card featuring the Drink Up The Sunshine stamp set. For the abstract waves I used the new Thick and Thin background stamp.

First I stamped the image on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the following Copic markers:

  • Skin: E04, E13, E11, E00, E000, E00, R22, R20
  • Hair: E47, E33, E51
  • Pool floating tube: G28, G24, G21, G20
  • Coconut: E47, E25, E13, E33, E31, E51
  • Flower: E41, Y18, Y13, Y000
  • Swimsuit: E04, R85, R83, R81, RV000

On the background I stamped the Thick and Thin background stamp with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and Antique Linen. This stamp gives a bit of a water feeling, but then in yellow 😉 For the stitched frame, I used the Wonky Stitched Rectangles. I also used this die to create the same stitching on the pink strip, which is white cardstock ink blended with Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo. For the sentiment and on the cardbase I also used Kitsch Flamingo.

The sentiment and girl I adhered with foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. As a final touch, I added sequins from Lucy’s Little Things called Lullaby. The sequins of this set matched perfectly with the colors I chose for the card.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
