The Perfect Bookmark for Cookbooks – Clearly Besotted

Hi everyone! This month the challenge at Cloud9 Crafts is to create tags and bookmarks. Today I wanted to create a bookmark for my cookbooks, and what better stamps are there to use than I Pick You Additions and Bake Off from Clearly Besotted?!

For the first tag I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them with Copic markers.

  • Kitchen: E42, E41, B93, B95, B97, B00
  • Reds: R29, R24, R22, R20
  • Greens: G28, G24, G21, G20
  • Eggs: E53, E21, E50
  • Bear: E55, E53, E21, E50
  • Bunny: W4, W2, W0, N0, E000, R20

After the coloring was done, I fussy cut them using Cutterbee scissors. For the background of the scene, I ink blended Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke on the bottom to represent the floor the critters are standing on. For the wallpaper, I created splatters with Distress Oxide Candied Apple. Once the splatters were dry, I stamped the sentiments with MFT Extreme Black ink. I adhered the critters on top using tacky glue and foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives.

For the the base of the tag, I used the Plaid stencils from Lawn Fawn together with Candied Apple and Faded Jeans as these colors matched nicely with my colored images.

I hope you like this bookmark and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
