Poppies For You, Part 4: Pearlescent Poppies – The Stamp Market

Hi everyone! Welcome to part 4 of the Poppies For You series. As with the last card I was having a lot of fun with pearlescent embossing powder, I decided to also play with it for this card. This design is perfect if you like working with cardstock rather than coloring. Plus The Stamp Market has a great selection of gorgeous cardstock, and I was itching to create something with it.

First I stamped the poppy image with VersaMark ink on the colored cardstock, Cotton Candy, Peony, and Bubblegum. Then I heat set the WOW! White Pearl embossing powder, and die cut the poppies with the coordinating dies. While I had the embossing powder out, I did the same for the leaves, but then on vellum.

For the background, I stamped the Buffalo Plaid background stamp by MFT with Lawn Fawn Yeti ink on Sea Glass cardstock. The teal cardstock provides a nice contrast with the pink flowers, and the stamped white background breaks and softens the teal.

For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘for you’ with VersaMark ink and heat set the WOW! white embossing powder. The flowers and leaves I arranged around it, which I adhered with various sizes of foam squares. To finish off the card, I added white Nuvo drops to the center of the flowers, and added some sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s Card on the background.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
