It’s Paw-ty Time – Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! Today I’m back with another inspiration card for the shaker card challenge over at Cloud9 Crafts. From a different project, I had cardstock left over which I did not want to let go to waste. I always try to throw out as little as possible. Like the other card, I also turned this one into a shaker card.

First I stamped the images with my MISTI on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Copic markers:

  • Purples: V01, V12, V15, V09
  • Bear: E30, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, R20
  • Star: Y11, Y18

The bear is from the Snow Angels, and the little party hat and sentiment are from Zodiac Dog. Both are from Mama Elephant. The sentiment I stamped with VersaMark ink on the purple pastel dotted cardstock from Lawn Fawn, after which I coated it in WOW! white embossing powder which I heat set.

Now let’s get to the shaker part of the card. From the pattern paper from the Hello Sunshine Remix Paper pack I die cut the sentiment with the Big Happy Birthday die from Mama Elephant. Behind it I adhered acetate and 3M Scotch foam tape. For the sequins I used a mix of Nuvo Pure Sheen 4 Pack Golden Years Confetti and Nuvo Pure Sheen 4 Pack Peacock Feathers Confetti. After I was happy with the amount and ratios, I closed the shaker bit with the pastel Textured Dot Cardstock. As a final embellishment, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Crushed Grape.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
