Mini Slimline Zoom In Party – Clearly Besotted

Hi everyone! From the latest release of Clearly Besotted I just couldn’t resist all the adorable faces from the Zoom In Party stamp set. As lately there is a new trend to create mini slimline cards, I thought I would give that a go with these cuties. To create the card, I didn’t use any mini slimline specific dies, but just used the slimline supplies I already had. In the end, this card measures 3.5″ by 6.5″.

First I stamped the images with my MISTI on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. For coloring I used the following Copic markers:

  • Top critter: YR27, YR24, Y18, Y13, YR21, YR20
  • Middle critter: E30, E31, E33, E35
  • Bottom critter: N0, N1, N3, C5
  • Blush on cheeks: R20, R22
  • Green balloon and background: Y11, YG01, YG03, YG63
  • Yellow background: Y18, Y13, Y11, Y000

I used the Slim Film City die from Mama Elephant to create the film strip around the critters and modified it just a bit by taking out the middle bar. As this die is actually meant for a full slimline card, I only partially ran it through my die cutting machine. The paper used for this film strip is Woodgrain cardstock in light brown from Lawn Fawn. To tone it down just a bit, I lightly ink blended Yeti ink on top. The same woodgrain cardstock I used to create the card base with the Large Slimline With Sliders die from Lawn Fawn.

The Slim Film City set I also used to create the postage like background from pattern paper from the Into The Woods paper pack from Lawn Fawn. On top I adhered the film strip with the critters, and then I popped it up with foam tape on top of the base woodgrain panel.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!
