Hi everyone! This month we have a Spring challenge over at Cloud9 Crafts. You can also participate by sharing your creation with #c9craftschallenge on Instagram. The latest Lawn Fawn release contains this beautiful Perfectly Plaid Remix paper which was my inspiration for the card today.
First I stamped the images with my MISTI on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The stamps sets I used are: One In A Chameleon Flip-Flop, A Bug Deal, and Butterfly Kisses. For coloring I chose Copic markers that matched nicely with the pattern paper. The colors are:
- Y11, Y13, Y18
- YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67
- BG02, B00, B000
- R81, R83, R85
- C0, C1, C3, C5
- E35, E33, E31, E30
For the background, I used the Lawn Fawn Cloudy stencil together with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass. To also tie the cloudy background in with the pattern paper, I created some colorful splashes with Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick, Broken China, and Mustard Seed. Out of the Perfectly Plaid pattern paper I used for the background, I also die cut the Scripty Birthday. To pop up the sentiment, I stacked it on top of 3 more birthdays die cut from white cardstock. To finish the complete sentiment, I stamped ‘wishes’ on Dandy Day pattern paper with Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick.
On top of the cloudy background, I adhered all the images with either liquid glue or foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives in different thicknesses to create more interest. On top of the butterflies, I put some Nuvo Crystal Drops White Blizzard together with Glossy Accents to give them a nice shine and shimmer.
For the two corners with the leaves, I die cut 2 flowers out of Dandy Day pattern paper. The flower die is from the Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On. In the center of the flowers, I put Nuvo Crystal Drops Dandelion Yellow. I absolutely love how this looks, so I will definitely do this more often.
