Hi everyone! From a different project I had some left over pattern paper which I really wanted to use instead of throwing it away. Click here to see the other project in Instagram. This pattern paper is from the Over The Rainbow paper pack and matches perfectly with the colors I chose in this image. I love the quirkiness of rubber stamp ID-1046 from AB Studio, and luckily I also had a sentiment that matched.
First I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them in with my Copic markers. The pattern paper already had the required size as a ‘leftover’. For the background in the window, I splattered Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon on white cardstock. The pattern paper I adhered on top with foam tape to create dimension.
The sentiment is from the Easy Sentiments stamp set from Mama Elephant which I heat embossed on black cardstock. After adhering the sentiment strip, I also adhered the image just above it. Normally I would place the image on top of the sentiment strip to ground it, but in this case it didn’t feel right. Although it is a very clean and simple card, I do like how it turned out.
