Superhero Shaker Card – Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! Today is release day of Mama Elephant! Yay! I am loving this new release with a comic theme. I fell in love with the new Little Superhero Agenda plus Comic Cover Basic and I couldn’t wait to get started with it.

First I stamped the images with my MISTI on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Copic markers:

• Bunny: E30, E31, E33
• Dog: E41, E42, E43
• Pants: E72, E75
• Pink shirts: R20, R22, R24, RV000
• Blue shirts: BG10, BG11, BG32, BG13, BG15

For the background, I used the Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock as a base and used the Lawn Fawn Starry Sky stencil together with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke to create the pattern. After that, I wanted to add a little bit more to the background. So I used the Lawn Fawn Bubble Background stencil together with Distress Oxide Milled Lavender and Lawn Fawn Yeti ink. The bubble pattern is quite subtle, but it does give that bit of extra I was looking for.

From white cardstock I die cut the Comic Cover Basic layout, plus the Headliner Alphas. The white cardstock from Crafter’s Companion is a nice heavy weight cardstock which I always use. It is also perfect to pop up the letters as you can see. From the Lawn Fawn Holographic cardstock I die cut the letters as well which gives a really cool effect and matches really well with the Golden Years confetti from Nuvo.

At the bottom of the Comic Cover frame, I adhered a city skyline from the Slim Film City set from Mama Elephant. After that, I adhered the Acetate with Lawn Fawn 1/8″ double sided tape. I only created shaker windows at the top and bottom, as I wanted the ‘THX’ to be in the center. To create the shaker windows, I used the 2mm foam lines from JEJE, which have the perfect width and height for shakers. In the shaker windows, I put the Nuvo Golden Years confetti, together with some iridescent stars from my stash. After putting the shaker together, and adhering the images on top, I created one more sentiment with the Easy Sentiments from Mama Elephant which I stamped on Fog cardstock with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke.
