Hi everyone! Today I wanted to go for a clean and simple look with the Big Oh So Jolly die from Mama Elephant. This design can also easily be spiced up with a cute critter or nice gradient in the background. What I love about this clean design, is that the focus really lies on the sparkly sentiment.

First I die cut the sentiment 3 times out of white cardstock and stacked them on top of each other. Then I coated the top layer in Glossy Accents and sprinkled Prisma Glitter and Chunky Glitter from Lawn Fawn over top. While doing this I made sure not everything was covered with glitter, leaving some blank space. Then I set this aside to dry and started working on the background.

As a base for the background I used Moonstone cardstock from Lawn Fawn. Here you can use any color you’d like, as long as the white snow will stand out from the background. Then with white modeling paste and the Snowy Sky stencil, I created the dimensional snow. As mentioned before, you could also create a gradient in the background, just keep in mind that if for instance you’re using Distress Oxide inks, it will react with the modeling paste and it will not stay white.

While the modeling paste was drying, I went went to the sentiment. In order to trap all the glitter, I added another coat of Glossy Accents on top. After that, I started working on the heat embossed sentiment, which is from the Oh Penguin Tree stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink on the Moonstone cardstock and heat set the WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder. To make the sentiment stand out from the background, I matted it with white cardstock.
Now all elements where done, I adhered the snowy background with Scotch foam tape to the card base. The sparkly sentiment I adhered with tacky glue, and the heat embossed sentiment I adhered with foam squares.
I hope you also like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank you for stopping, and see you next time!
