Hi everyone! For this card I felt like practicing shading with my Copic markers. I really enjoy coloring and I also try to get better at it by just practicing and watching others color. The Hanging with My Gnomies stamp set from MFT has images which are perfect for practicing shading. The stamps from MFT are in general a bit bigger which means you have enough room to create some nice contrast.
I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Perfect Colouring paper. The Copic colors I used are:
- Clothes: B00, BG02, BG05, BG07, BV04
- Skin: E13, E11, E00
- Beard: C1, C3, C5, C7
- Mushroom Roof: YG01, YG03, YG13, YG17, YG67
- Mushroom Base: E41, E42, E43, E44
- Door: E35, E37, E29
- Bricks above door: C3, C5, C7, C9
- Flowers and small mushrooms: E09, YR21, YR24, YR27
For the sky I used the Cloud stencil from MFT and the Distress Oxide colors Faded Jeans, Broken China, Tumbled Glass. To add some texture, I added splatters with Faded Jeans, and also white gold splatters with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set. The grass I die cut with the Grassy Hills die from MFT from Cilantro cardstock and ink blended Mowed Lawn and Faded Jeans at the top.
I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
