Hi everyone! Over at the Lawn Fawnatics blog there is a challenging running in which you make the sentiment the star. I thought it would be fun to stamp a sentiment all over the background, really making it a main element of the card.
First I stamped the sentiment from Keep On Swimming all over the background with VersaMark ink. I coated it in WOW! white embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun. To create a gradient of color, I used Distress Oxide Wilted Violet, Broken China, and Tumbled Glass.
After creating the background, I got started with my little critters. These are from Ocean Shell-Fie and Keep on Swimming. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers:
- Octopus: RV11, RV13, RV14, RV29
- Jellyfish: V01, V05, V09
- Goldfish: BG13, BG32, BG11, BG10
To create the polaroid frame, I used on of the dies from the Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-On. I die cut this 3 times and stacked them on top of each other. To mute the colorful background, I adhered vellum behind the polaroid and adhered my critters on top. Finally I stamped “you’re fintastic” on top of the polaroid to finish off the card.
