Night Sky Picnic feat. Crazy Antics from Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! With the card of today I’m participating in the Lawn Fawnatics color inspiration challenge. When I saw the colors, I could not wait to create a night time sky with stars. And what is better than having a picnic underneath the stars?!

First I stamped all the images from the Crazy Antics stamp set on Perfect Colouring paper and colored them with my Copic markers. After coloring, I die cut the critters with the coordinating dies. For the grass, I used the Grassy Hillside Borders die to die cut grass from white cardstock. To color the grass I used Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron.

To create the sky, I used the Puffy Cloud backdrop die on white cardstock. To color the sky, I used Distress Oxide Black Soot, Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet, and Shaded Lilac. Then finally I added a lot of texture to the sky by adding clear water splatters, plus some shimmer with Gansai Tambi, and adding white stars with the Starry Sky stencil. And because you cannot have enough stars, I also die cut a bunch of stars with the Say What Gift Tag die from cardstock which I colored with Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade. From that same cardstock, I also die cut the word ‘Friends‘ and chopped off the ‘s’.

To add dimension to the card, I adhered the grass with foam tape to pop it up. And also for some of the critters I used foam squares to adhere them. The sentiment ‘Friend’ I also adhered with foam tape at the back.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
