Lawn Fawn – Colorful Cupcake Birthday

Hi everyone! For today’s card I was inspired by the sketch challenge of Lawnfawnatics. This design was a perfect opportunity to use the Stitched Cupcake die set and lots of different colored cardstock of Lawn Fawn.

If you are interested in the card making process, you can check out the video below or hop over to my channel. If you like watching my video’s, make sure to subscribe.

First I die cut all the pieces to create the cupcakes from Lawn Fawn cardstock. For the cupcake wrappers, I used the Dandy Day paper pack. For the the cupcakes themselves, I created a base out of the Spring Sparkle cardstock, and on top I used papers from 3 different paper packs: Rainbow, Sherbet, and Schoolyard. From these packs I used the colors: Sunflower, Ballet Slippers, Sugarplum, Moonstone, Pencil Eraser, No. 2 Pencil, Sticky Note.

To create a matching background, I ink blended Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, and Tumbled Glass. After ink blending, I ran the background through my die cutting machine with the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot die from Lawn Fawn. Next, I also die cut the Scalloped frame from white cardstock to provide some nice contrast.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed Happy Birthday from the Happy Happy Happy stamp set from Lawn Fawn with WOW! white embossing powder. After assembling the card, I added some final touches with Wink of Stella, Glossy Accents, and Stickles Stardust.

I hope you like these card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
