Distress Oxide Stamping Technique

Hi everyone! This card was made with one of my favorite techniques; stamping with Distress Oxide ink! And the stamps from the Blooming collection by Karin Joan are perfect for this.

For this card I used stamp set nr 1 and 2 from the Blooming collection. Each of the elements I stamped in multiple Distress Oxide ink colors to give them more depth. From left to right, the colors I used:

  1. Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed
  2. Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin
  3. Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac
  4. Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry
  5. Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet

For the leaves I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

For the sentiment, I stamped ‘Bloom’ with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. To frame the flower scene, I cut two strips of pattern paper from Paper Pack nr 2 and adhered it on the top and bottom. For some final details, I added Nuvo drops in several places in coordinating colors.

I really hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thank for stopping by and see you next time!
