Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing 2 Christmas cards with gingerbread houses. These have been created with the Build-A-House die from Lawn Fawn. The design is the same, but thanks to the different color scheme they look like totally different cards.

For the card making process check out my video below or hop over to my channel. If you like watching my video’s, do not forget to subscribe.
For both houses I used Desert Storm cardstock from Neenah for the base. This cardstock already has a nice gingerbread look which I highlighted even more by adding splatters with white acrylic paint and Distress Ink Vintage Photo. For the red house, I chose red cardstock I still had in my stash. For the teal colored house, I chose Mermaid cardstock from Lawn Fawn. From these cardstocks I die cut al the elements with the Build-A-House die and the Christmas Add-On.

After assembling the houses, I first got started on the backgrounds before adding the frosting elements. For the backgrounds I used pattern paper from the Snow Day Remix and Spiffy Speckles paper pack. The speckled background for the red house I made myself by splattering Distress Oxide ink Candied Apple on white cardstock.

To create the sentiment, I stamped Merry Christmas on a wavy banner with VersaMark ink. I then heat embossed the white embossing powder. After adhering the houses on the backgrounds I could get started on all the detailed elements. To create the frosting, I used Nuvo Drops Gloss White. For the small teal and red elements such as the hearts and lights, I put Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents on top to give it a nice shine. And that finishes of the cards!
I hope you like these card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
