Sunny Studio Stamps – Cruising Critters

Hi Everyone! I have a confession to make: Somehow, always when I try to make a card more masculine, it still ends up cute and girly. Do you recognize that also with yourself? However, this time, I think I’ve managed to keep it masculine! In the card of today I’m featuring the Cruising Critters from Sunny Studio Stamps. I love how the critters are piled up in the car! As this card is going to a guy who has an olive green car, I also wanted to color this car in those colors.

First I stamped the image on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with copic markers:

  • Car: YG93, YG95, YG97, YG01, C0, C1, C3, C5, W0, W2
  • Bird: Y18, Y13, Y11, YR04
  • Cat and racoon: C0, C1, C3, C5
  • Dogs, hegdehog, and bear: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
  • Bunny: W0, W2

For the sky I ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron on white cardstock. In the top left I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. To create the bushes in the scene, I die cut Fall Fling paper from Lawn Fawn with the Puffy Cloud Borders. For the road, I used a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed the white dash lines on them. These are also part of the Cruising Critters set. I adhered the car with the critters on top of the scene with foam tape to give it dimension.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
