Hi everyone! The latest Mama Elephant release is just so amazing! I really like a lot from this release. For this card I decided to go with the adorable penguins holding a heart.
The background of this card is created with this beautiful stencil from SugarPea Designs called Geo Snowflake. The Distress Oxide colors I used are Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass which go beautifully together. The sentiment I also stamped with those same colors with a gradient effect.
I stamped the penguins from the Fuzzy Hugs stamp set on Perfect Colouring paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my copic makers in colors that match the background:
- Penguins: YR01, YR07, C0, C1, C3, C5
- Penguin Hat: BG72, BG75, BG78, BG15, BG13, BG11
- Heart: BV00, BV02, BV04
For the snow bank I die cut white cardstock with the Stitched Hillside Border die from Lawn Fawn and popped it up with foamtape. This helps the penguins stand out a bit more as well from the busy background. I thought about adding shimmer and glitter as well, but I actually liked the card like this already so I decided to leave it.
