Fun Distress Oxide Ink Technique with Gel Plate

Hi everyone! A while ago I bought a gel plate but had not used it that much yet. And as I now have Distress Oxide Inks, I wanted to see what cool effects you can create. For the techniques of today, you could use a large stamp, or as I’m doing, a bunch of smaller stamps. The stamps I used are from Sunny Studio Stamps and were perfect for this technique.

I’ve also made the video down below in which I explain how this Distress Oxide technique with the gel plate works. It is really fun to do, and so easy! If you ever need to create a card quickly, this technique is perfect. I’m actually showing a couple of Distress Oxide techniques in the video. So if you are looking for inspiration on what you can do with Oxide Inks, this video is perfect for you. If you like watching my video’s, make sure to subscribe to my channel.

Stamping Fall Leaves with Distress Oxide Ink

Hi everyone! Distress Oxide Inks have been on my wishlist for quite some time now. Recently I finally bought a beautiful collection of colors. I love how much you can do with the Oxide Inks. Today I wanted to try stamping with the Oxide Inks. There is this gorgeous set from Sunny Studio Stamps with fall leaves and this set was perfect for the idea I had in mind.

First I stamped the sentiment as I wanted to make sure the leaves wouldn’t go in the sentiment area. For the sentiment I created an ombre look with 2 colors: Candied Apple for the bottom, and Carved Pumpkin for the top. From the stamp set I chose 2 solid leaves and 2 outlined leaves to stamp everything with. For all the leaves, I first stamped them partially with 1 color, wiped of the stamp, and stamped it again with the other color. Next to the same colors for the sentiment I also used Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn.

I really love how the stamping turned out, it really looks as if the leaves are changing to the beautiful fall colors. To add a bit more interest, I also splattered the Oxide Ink on the card but I made sure the sentiment itself stayed clean by putting a piece of paper on top. And that finishes of the card!

This card is quite easy to make and I hope it gave you inspiration for working with Oxide Inks and the beautiful Elegant Leaves stamp set. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Baby Boy Card with Heffy Doodle

Hi everyone! In today’s card I wanted to showcase what a fun addition the Sprinkled with Fun stencil can be. This baby boy card is somewhat elegant with a playful style to it thanks to the stencil.

To create the card I started with blending Distress Ink Salty Ocean on Neenah cardstock. Through the Sprinkled with Fun stencil I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste. On the base of the card, I created speckles by splattering on some diluted Distress Ink. While those elements were drying, I die cut the scalloped border and the word ‘baby‘ out of white cardstock and craft foam to give it dimension.

Once everything was dry, I could assemble the different elements. To finish it of, I added Nuvo Drops in a couple of places in the background.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

No-Line coloring with MFT Picture Perfect Part 3

Hi Everyone! I just can’t stop coloring these cuties from the Picture Perfect stamp set from MFT. This card is also my entry to the Clean & Simple Genius contest of MFT.

First I stamped the images on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Sketch markers:

  • Small Monkey: E35, E37, E39, E50, E51, E53
  • Big Monkey and Sloth: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
  • Background: YR24, Y18, Y13
  • Tree: YG67, YG17, YG13, YG11, W0, W2, W4

To create a frame around the card, I blended Distress Oxide ink Carved Pumpkin on white cardstock. This frame really helps the 2 cute scenes pop from the card. To add dimension, I adhered the scene with foam tape to the card base. And that finishes of the card!

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. If you are curious to see all my other cards created with this stamp set, click here. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Fall Themed Pattern Paper Center Picture Window Card

Hi everyone! For this card I was inspired by the beautiful fall pattern paper and the adorable trees from Lawn Fawn. I just love the fall colors and the cute punny sentiment.

For this card I really wanted to show case the pattern paper and the trees. The Center Picture Window design was perfect for the idea I had in mind. For the ones interested, I made the video below so you can easily follow how I created this fall themed card. If you like watching my video’s, subscribe to my channel and not miss a thing. If you are looking for more inspiration for using the Center Picture Window die, make sure to check out my other blog posts and the interactive playlist on YouTube.

To create the card, I stamped the trees and a bunch of leaves from the Tree Before ‘n After stamp set on Neenah Solar white cardstock and colored them with my copic markers. Most of the card was mainly die cutting the elements from Fall Fling and Spiffy Speckles paper and paper piecing it all together. This is just perfect when you want to create a fairly easy Center Picture Window card. For assembly in a seamless way, check out the video for tips.

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration for the new Lawn Fawn release. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Hi Everyone! Today I’m back with a card featuring the Picture Perfect stamp set from MFT. The design was inspired by the current MFT Sketch challenge. I’ve always wanted to try no-line coloring with my copics and this stamp set is perfect for it!

First I stamped the sloth on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock with Memento Desert Sand Ink. I colored him with Copic Sketch markers:

  • Body: E53, E55, E57
  • Face: E50, E51
  • Nails: C9, C5, C3, C1
  • Background: BG02
  • Tree: YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, C5, C1, white color pencil

To create a frame, I die cut 2 strips of paper with the MFT Wonky Stitched rectangles die. On the card base I adhered a polka dots pattern paper. For the sentiment I stamped Happy Birthday on the same cardstock as the frame with Archival Ink Coffee

I hope you like this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
