Card | I Sea it’s Your Birthday

Hi everyone! Today’s card is featuring little stamps from Lawn Fawn from 2 different sets: Seahorsin’ Around and Keep on Swimming. As you can see, the stamp sets go perfectly together. I wanted to create a simple card, really focusing on the little critters.

I started by stamping the critters with Memento Tuxedo Black ink which is a copic friendly ink. I colored everything with my Copic Sketch markers and used coordinating dies to die cut the critters. The seawead I stamped with Distress Ink Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn. To give them a nice shine, I coated them with shimmer from Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.

For the background I sprinkled Nuvo Shimmer Powder Atlantis Burst on watercolor paper and sprayed it with water to activate. This powder is perfect when you want to have a quick shimmering watercolor background without needing watercoloring skills. To frame the card I die cut 2 paper strips with the Stitched Hillside die from Lawn Fawn and popped them up with foam tape.

For the sentiment I chose the ‘i sea it’s your birthday’ from the Seahorsin’ Around stamp set and also stamped bubbles next to it. And that finishes the card! I hope you like it and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!
