Card |Colorful and Simple Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a great day. For the current Lawnfanatics challenge I decided to keep the design simple and really focus on the butterflies from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set.

First I stamped the butterflies with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with my copic markers. For the backgrounds I used pattern paper from the Spring Fling and Spiffy Speckles pack from Lawn Fawn.

To add more interest to the card, I put Wink of Stella over the butterflies and coated them in Glossy Accents. These two products together give the butterflies a nice shimmer, gloss, and dimension.

I hope you like this card and it gave you some inspiration.

Card | MFT Picture Perfect #instafamous

Hi Everyone! I am so excited I got my hands on the Picture Perfect stamp set from MFT. For some reason it was quite hard to get, but here it is! For the design of this card I was inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge of this week. As I think the stamps are really adorable and large, the card design can be kept quite simple.

First I stamped the cats on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Sketch markers:

  • Grey cat: C1, C3, C5, R22, R24, R29, RV11, Y11, Y13, Y18
  • Brown cat: E31, E13, E39, R24, R22, RV11, C5
  • Background: B00, BG02, BG05

For the polaroid frame I used the Die-Namic from MFT called Polaroid Shaker Frame. To give it a bit of dimension, I adhered craft foam to the polaroid frame before adhering it on top of the cats. To decorate the background, I trimmed cardstock from the Spring Fling paper pack from Lawn Fawn. I adhered the cardstock to the card base with double sided tape and then I put the cats on top.

I did not make a video of this card process. But if you are interested in how I made this card, or you want to see how I did the copic coloring, just let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Card | An Amazing Day with Beach Chickies from Mama Elephant

Hi everyone! The Beach Chickies from Mama Elephant are just too cute! I have only posted this card a few days ago and I could not wait to create another one. It looks like they are having a blast at the beach. Enjoying the sun, relaxing, taking a swim…makes me wish I was there too.

For this card as well, I have added shimmer in a couple of places. It can be hard to capture in a photo, but in this close up picture you can see it quite well.

No video today, unfortunately. But for a similar process video you can watch this one.

I have colored all the critters with my copic markers. For the beach itself, I used Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and splattered Distress Ink Vintage Photo on top. For the water, I die cut the Spiffy Speckles paper.

To add shimmer to the card, I used Wink of Stella, Stickles, and Glossy Accents. Those 3 are really my favorite combo, depending on how much shimmer I want.

I hope you liked this card and it gave you inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

Card | Sending Sunshine with Mama Elephant Beach Chickies

Hi everyone! It is very hot today in The Netherlands and it inspired me to create this beach scene with the Beach Chickies from Mama Elephant. I bet it is much cooler at the beach than it is in my garden πŸ˜‰

It can be hard to capture it in a photo, but I have added shimmer in a couple of places. Especially to the sunglasses I have added shimmer together with a layer of glossy accents to make them look ‘real’.

Card | Going on a Treasure Hunt

Hi Everyone! It is time for another dimensional card. This was my first time using the mini pop-up box die from Lawn Fawn and it was so much fun to use! I combined it with the ‘Ahoy Matey‘ and new ‘Keep on Swimming‘ stamp set. These sets go perfectly together to create a beach scene.

Make sure to check out my video on youtube which shows the whole assembly process of this card. And if you like watching my videos, do not forget to subscribe to my channel.
